On the afternoon of March 25, 1963, a procession of thousands of people on foot and in vehicles is taking place on the road leading to Lahore airport.
The fervor of the procession increases when an airplane starts raining flowers from the air on a glass box on a carriage in the middle of it.
The procession of thousands of citizens in the skies of Lahore and these scenes of devotion were part of the ceremony of sending the holy cover of the Kaaba to Saudi Arabia by a special plane. Every year after the Hajj, after the cover of the Kaaba (Kiswah) is changed, pieces of the old cover are brought from Saudi Arabia to Pakistan as a devotion.

This year, the fortune of making Kiswah came to Pakistan.
This sacred cloth, made of gold and silver threads and silk, was replaced with a new cover on the evening of No Dhu al-Hijja before 2022.

According to Dr. Rizwan, President Ayub Khan also visited Banaras Silk House to inspect the work during the preparation of the Kaaba cover.
Due to the quality of his work, in 1982, the inner cover of Haram Sharif was also prepared by his father and sent to Saudi Arabia.
Apart from this, he also had the privilege of preparing a special green silk cover for the cover of the Prophet of Islam.
The foundation stone of Banaras Silk House was laid by the then speaker of the National Assembly Maulvi Tamizuddin. Earlier it was established in Bolton Market, the ancient area of the city, which was shifted to Sadar in 1960.
